The MZ35 is a carbureted single-cylinder engine much like the MZ34 the only difference being that the carbuttor is positioned in such a way to allow for its long, narrow shape, specially designed for mounting on powered gliders as a silent retractable engine.

The cylinder is made of aluminium alloy coated with Nikasil to ensure low weight and a virtually unlimited lifespan.

The MZ35 engine weighs 19kg (42 lbs) with electric ignition and the automatic decompression device.
